What is Lifting the Weight of Truth about?
This is my story of seeking and embracing foundational Truth. This is a personal journey through early addiction, illness, redemption, and faith—told through the lens of powerlifting and recovery. This book is for anyone pushing hard through life and still coming up short.
When and where can I get the book?
Lifting the Weight of Truth releases in July 2026 and will be available on Amazon. You can sign up to be notified the moment it drops.

Do I have to be a Christian to benefit from your message?
Not at all. I welcome anyone seeking truth, healing, or strength—no matter where you are on your faith journey. This book may be challenging. I pray it's worth your lift. Remember, growth requires training!
How can I request mentorship or connect one-on-one?
You can reach out by the contact form or request a discovery call. Please note that I am not a licensed counselor. I am first and foremost a friend of faith. I offer mentorship on a case-by-case basis.

Are the discussions moderated?
Yes. We want it to be a safe and encouraging space. Disrespect, trolling, or inappropriate content won’t be tolerated.
Speaking engagements
Are you available to speak at events and churches?
Yes, with an advanced notice of 3 months, as I have a full-time job. I speak on addiction recovery, mental resilience, and the path to strength through faith. Use the contact page to inquire.
Do you offer virtual talks or only in-person?
I’m available for both, depending on scheduling and location.

What’s your background?
Over the course of my work history, I've served as a commercial painter, analytical chemist, epidemiologist, and informatics director. My wife and I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this year. I’m a husband, father, grandpa (gup!), powerlifter, and disciple of Jesus my Savior. You can read more of my story here.
